Charis Morgan

About

Charis Morgan is an MFA candidate at the University of Alabama, where she teaches freshman composition, and is an assistant poetry editor for the Black Warrior Review. She is from Rome, Georgia, where she attended Berry College. She currently lives in Birmingham, Alabama, with her partner and is working on a hybrid project centered on eighteenth and nineteenth women institutionalized in mental asylums. Her work has appeared in the Florida Review, Grain, Cincinnati Review miCRo series, Phi Kappa Phi Forum, and elsewhere.
